I have read some of Miranda July's short stories and heard about other projects she has done since 2005's "Me You and Everyone We Know" (one of my favorite films that year), but of all the ways in which she applies her multifarious talents, it is her style of filmmaking that I connect with the most. So it gladdened me to see the trailer for her recent movie, "The Future," amongst the previews for "The Tree of Life," yesterday. It's got a talking cat as a narrator. This movie was made for me!
