It Ain't Heavy. It's Just Snow.

Yes, I'm afraid my well of ideas for clever post titles has been on a dry streak lately so you'll have to pardon today's bumbling reference to a Donny Hathaway classic.

It has been snowing since last night. This morning, I woke up to more snow than I've seen in the two months that I've been here. There are more piles of white stuff outside than a Hollywood crack party.

From USA TODAY:

East Coast pounded by snowy late-winter storm

WASHINGTON — A massive winter storm battered the East Coast Monday, delaying air travel, shutting down schools and making the morning commute treacherous as snow piled up on roadways.
The late storm that roared out of the Southeast has caused four deaths in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and on New York's Long Island.

New York City schools were closed for the first time in five years. More than 10 inches of snow was on the ground in New Jersey's Atlantic and Cumberland counties by 7 a.m. Monday. South Carolina got 8 inches of snow.

I don't know how students are notified when school is closed for the day here, but wouldn't it suck if you were that one kid who didn't get the memo? I would totally have been that kid.
