Irony of Ironies

A few days ago, I posted ten DivShare links to mp3s that you can download for free on amazon.com and download.com's Crossfade blog. I even took care to cite these sources. Today, I received an e-mail with the following message:

"Blogger has been notified, according to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), that certain content in your blog infringes upon the copyrights of others."

"The DMCA is a United States copyright law that provides guidelines for online service provider liability in case of copyright infringement. We are in the process of removing from our servers the links that allegedly infringe upon the copyrights of others. If we did not do so, we would be subject to a claim of copyright infringement, regardless of its merits."

You can find the same tracks here, here, here and here.

The warning and the removal of the offending post would have been perfectly justifiable if I had personally uploaded these songs from my mp3 library onto my blog, but these mp3s originated from legitimate and reputable sources (i.e. amazon.com and download.com.) Why doesn't the IFPA threaten amazon.com or download.com with copyright infringement?
